a snapshot of poor spruce bruce sunning himself. and no – i did not stage this photo. i went over one day to let him out at lunch and excitedly sent him out to play : he directly sauntered out and plopped on the sunny spot.
i thought it was funny so i took a snapshot. this is actually rare. he is usually un controllably hyper wanting to play catch non stop.
ah, summer – keep coming.
we had the BEST weekend.
sunday night we commented how sometimes the funnest things in life are crossing thorns in your sides off the to do list instead of going out!
we scrubbed and scoured and loved every minute of it.
we don’t have a truck and had a couple obnoxiously sized things we didn’t know how to get rid of. then sam had a genius idea. free craigslist. man it is crazy what you can get rid of on free craigslist. stuff that doesn’t work, hard to haul – whatever. people love free stuff.
that felt great!
we just have a couple more small outside projects but we are pretty much done.
we spring cleaned inside in the fall majorly so this weekend was just a day long clean up maintenance spring clean.
i think sam and i’s favorite hobby is airing out the house and gushing over how good the clean organized aired out, dyson-ed place feels and how we’re so glad we know the garage is just as clean now.
sunday we celebrated by taking fridge inventory and using all our random produce for a yummy lunch of seasoned grilled burgers and zucchini courtesy of mr. whitaker, fresh broccoli and radishes + lettuce with balsamic.
we were pretty satisfied sunday night.
also : i finally successfully hid spinach in a smoothie for sam! i didn’t even tell him. (until after) now he’s down. the key was the banana and peach, I think.

i feel like im 80 years old
and i fit right into

nearly dead neighborhood
apparently the scooter store thinks so too.

i love mr. easter* more than any animal i’ve ever ever known.
he has the most fun personality! it kind of beyond blows my mind that he is less than a week old and he already acts like he owns the place!
he prances and runs and trots and flips his tail and is already pushing the boundaries to discover outside of the field.
he is so soft and so sweet.
i run over whenever i can to appreciate what seems like a choreographed trotting show.
he is cheeky, loving, beautiful and my newest love.
end gush. for now.
